DATE NUT BREAD3 cups sifted flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 egg, well beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons melted shortening
Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into mixing bowl. Add dates and nuts.
Mix the beaten egg, milk, and shortening; add to ingredients in bowl and stir until blended. Turn into a well greased loaf pan, about 8x4x4-inches and let stand at kitchen temperature for 20 minutes.
Bake in oven (350 degrees F) about 1 1/4 hours. Let stand in pan a few minutes to steam slightly, then loosen sides and turn out on rack to cool.

Hi Angela,
I found this box recipe cutout in one of the estate recipe collections that I have. I don't know if it's Dromedary because it doesn't have the brand name on it so I included a photo to see if you recognize it.
Happy Baking!
