Betsy, I appreciate your input. In fact, I tried cutting a bag open from the "teabag type" of coffee. Then I mixed a little with the whipping cream from an aerosal can (my family calls it "squish," what we used to call it when I was a child). It did not dissolve at all.
I didn't use the vanilla when I did that. However, you bring up a point, the finer type of coffee is what I need, and it's been so long since I used instant coffee.
