When my to children were infants, I would cook carrots in my pressure cooker (you certainly wouldn't need to use this), then I would put them in my "cuisinart", a blender should work too. Then I would fill & freeze ice cube trays. When frozen, put them into labeled zip lock bags.
How easy it was to pop out desired vegetable & amount, & that out in microwave. I always felt it was healthier knowing it was pure with no salt or sugar added. This worked very well for me !
