Chili Sauce
12 large ripe tomatoes 1 red pepper 4 apples or 15 oz.can of applesauce 4 onions 3 cups sugar 3 cups vinegar 2 T. salt 1 teaspoon ground cloves 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon ginger
Chop first four ingredients fine. Boil everything except apples and spices for 2 hours. Add apples about 1/2 hour before done. Add the spices when nearly done. Process in pint or half pint jars for a half hour. Makes about 5+ pints.
