Teri - I have found the best way to freeze these ( and most small fruit) is to pour the fruit on a jelly roll pan (cookie sheet with sides)in a single layer, and freeze. The berries can then be poured into a ziploc bag.
The advantage of this method is that you can pour any amount from the bag, and thus there is no waste!
I like to Cook the berries with sugar and thicken with cornstarch. this makes a nice sauce for puddings, ice cream, cakes. You can use a sieve to strain out the seeds, or not, as you prefer.
The berries can also be added to a plain muffin recipe.
