Salt Free Bread and Butter Pickles from "Stocking Up III" 15 medium size cucumbers 5 medium size onions 5 cups vinegar 2 tsp. celery seeds 2 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 C. honey 1 tsp. turmeric 2 tsp. mustard seeds Thinly slice cucumbers and onions. Make a spiced vinegar using vinegar, celery seeds, ginger, honey, turmeric, and mustard seeds. Let spiced vinegar come to a boil in an enamel or stainless steel saucepan, add cucumbers and onions, and bring to boiling point. Pack cucumbers and onions in hot,scaled pint jars. Then pour hot vinegar over them, leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Seal and process 10 minutes in boiling water bath. Yeild: 11 pints
