Could this possibly be the same as gelatin sheets? Most of the gelatin sold now is in powdered form. I think some specialty baking stores carry sheet gelatin. Perhaps you can contact the Decorette Shop in Portland and see if they can help you further.

Jellies made with gelatin do not have the shelf life or storage capabitlites as those made with pectin. Most people who make jelly now use powdered pectin from the grocery store, such as Sure Jell or MCP. There is also a product called Clear Jell that is used for homecanning pie fillings and some people use it for freezer jam recipes. Clear Jell is a modified food starch(corn starch) that doesn't break down like regular corn starch can. It can also be used for thickening gravies and puddings. It is also available at the Decorette Shop. Clear Jell is the same type of thickeners used in the commercial food industry.
