You can use either method for making juice. You may wish to strain it if you use an electric juiceer through a coffee filter or clean white tea towel or something first. If you make grape juice, be sure to set in the fridge overnight, then just pour off the top, not disturbing the sediment in the bottom. You will have a less likely chance of getting the glass-like particles in your jelly that way. They are harmless, but not a good texture feel.
