Becca, try them this way too, they're great! 3 cups pecan halves 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup white sugar 1 tsp salt rinse pecans and drain but leave pecans damp, put sugars and salt in a plastic bag and mix well, add pecans and shake till well coated.
