Corky Tarr's Swedish Wafers

Mix together: 2 cups butter, 2/3 cup of heavy cream, 4 cups flour. Form
into 3 flat rounds. Wrap in wax paper and chill. Roll out as you would a
pie crust. With a fork, prick entire surface. Cut into small rounds.
Coat each round with granulated sugar (or colored sugar for the holidays).
Bake 7-9 minutes at 375 degrees. Make butter cream icing and put 2 wafers
together for a wonderful sandwich cookie.

Butter Cream Icing:

1&1/4 sticks of butter
Powdered sugar (sifted)
Cream
Vanilla
Pinch of salt

Just keep adding powdered sugar & cream until it looks and tastes good.
Color with food coloring if desired.
