I have cooked every holiday turkey on the gas grill for the last fifteen years.Dry the turket thoroughly and cover it inside and out with your favorite seasoning. I use Everglades seasoning. Place the turkey in a large , disposable, aluminum pan and cover the outer edges (the legs) with foil. Place the pan in the center of the grill area with all burners set at about low to medium. Cook for about 11 - 12 minutes per pound or until a meat thermometer reads what you want it to. Keep an eye on it as you may need to cover the breast area with foil if it is getting too brown. Best turkey you will ever eat.
