I have grilled numerous turkeys on the grill. I was inspired to try it after many successes with whole fryers on the grill. The way I did mine was by the indirect cooking method. You simply light one side of the grill, place a large pan with liquid in it with under the grate of the grill and place the turkey on the grate. I have place mesquite chips on the lit side for a smokier version and also have simply left it plain. the results either way are incredible and I know you'll be pleased. I have also basted it with a mixture of brandy, olive oil, plenty of fresh cracked pepper and rosemary. Be aware tho" this does take alot of time to do...plan on at least 5 hours BTW the grill should be on a medium heat. You will also find that you'll need to rotate the turkey to evenly brown it on both sides of the bird.I hope this answers your questions, and I really hope you try it.
