I just recently purchased a bread machine and I searched for some good recipes everywhere. Fortunatley I found this delicious Cinnamon Apple Bread, that's perfect for breakfast (or any other time of the day you want something sweet.) It works great, so try it out!
Cinnamon Apple Bread
Dough:
1 Pk. Active dry Yeast 2 1/4 C Bread Flour 2 Tb Brown Sugar 1 Tb Dry Milk powder 1 T Ground Cinnamon 1 T Salt 1 C Water
Cinnamon/Apple Filling:
1 Apple --- Peeled and Diced 3 Tb Brown Sugar 1 T Ground Cinnamon 1 Tb Flour 1/4 Ts Nutmeg
Add the ingredients for the dough to your bread machine in the order required by your manufacturer. Select dough setting and press start. While the machine is working on your bread, mix together the ingredients for the filling in a medium sized bowl. When the machine is finished going through all the cycles and beeps, transfer the dough on to a well floured surface. Set the oven to 325 degrees. Then roll the bread out using a rolling pin to the with of the bread pan you wish to use. Then spread the filling on top of the rolled out bread and roll up in a jelly-roll fashion. Put the bread into a greased bread pan and set on top of hot oven for a few minutes. This will help it to rise a little and it will cook faster. DO NOT do this for too long otherwise the outside of the bread will get hard. Place the bread in the oven and let it bake for approx. 20-25 minutes. Let the bread cool and you will have a delicious bread!
Note from Dana, Toronto, 10-10-2001: I did not like this bread. I found that it needed to have a 2nd rising in the pan (covered), it was not cooked at high enough temperature or long enough. I had to throw the loaf out. There is also too much cinnamon in the dough itself.
