Cranberry Chutney Recipe By : Juanita Babb (wife of hospice pt. '95)
1 pound cranberries 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar, dark 1/2 cup golden raisins 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 1/2 teaspoons ginger 1/2 teaspoon clove 1/4 teaspoon allspice 1 cup apple juice or water 1 onion -- chopped 1 cup tart apples -- chopped 1 cup celery -- chopped
Combine first nine ingredients in a Dutch oven. Cook over med. heat, stirring frequently until juice released from cranberries. Stir in remaining ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, about 15 mins or until thickened.
