How is this for a slow response? I just started looking online for vegan recipe's , and i have one for you. (or anyone else who comes across this post : )1 C. whole wheat pastry flour 1 C. quick oats (1 minute, not instant) 1 C. Unbleached sugar 1/2 tsp. non-aluminum baking powder (like Rumford ) 1/4 tsp. salt1/4 C. canola oil 1/3 C. water 2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup vegan chocolate chips ( is suggest ghiardeli (sp?))
pre-heat oven to 350
mix all dry ingrediants (except chips ) in a large mixing bowl.
whisk all wet ingrediants in another bowl. fold wet and dry ingrediants until you have a firm dough. mix in chips, place on lightly greased cooking sheet, bake for 11-13 minutes (keep an eye on 'em)

this recipe is straight from "Vegan Vittles" i whole heartedly suggest you get this book. I t is chock full of the comfort foods i thought i would have to give up.david
