For a lemon angel food cake I take a large cool whip and carefully add lemon curd to it and spread it on the cake. I use about 6/8ths of the cool whip. For a white angel food cake I add a purchased chocolate ice crem topping until I get the correct flavour. Just be careful about mixing it - if you beat it too much it will go flat. Just gently combine. It tastes great and everyone likes it.
