1 cup Milk 1 cup Raisins 1 cup Beef Suet (Finely Chopped) 1 cup Dark Molasses 1 cup Brown Sugar 1 tsp Cinnamon 1 tsp Baking Soda in 1/8 cup of Warm Water 3 1/2 cups of Flour
Mix all ingredients with a spoon, not a mixer. Place in 8" diameter pudding steamer (like bundt pan but with clamps on sides) and place in a pot of water sitting the pudding steamer on a trivet (metal hot pad) and simmer on a low boil for four hours.
Sauce :Cook in double boiler until thick. 3/4 to a cup of Brandy (Christin Brothers), 2 cups Sugar, 2 cups Water, 2 tsp. Vanilla, 4 tsp. Flour or more for thickness (Use corn starch with a little water) 1 stick of Butter. Serve Warm with Sauce on top. |
