Chocolate Bread Pudding
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate (2 squares) 3 cups milk 4 cups soft bread cubes 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 3 eggs, well beaten
Combine chocolate and milk in a heavy saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring, until chocolate is melted.
Add bread, sugar, and salt. Slowly stir mixture into the beaten eggs. Pour all into a greased 10x6x2-inch baking dish. Set baking dish in a pan with about 1/2 inch of hot water.
Bake at 450F for about 45 to 55 minutes, or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Serve chocolate bread pudding warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
