Melting Moments with Orange Glaze
1 cup margarine 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar 1 tsp. orange flavoring (optional) 1 1/4 cups unsifted all-purpose flour 3/4 cup cornstarch Orange Glaze (recipe follows)
In large mixer bowl, beat at medium speed the margarine, 1/2 cup of the confectioners' sugar, and flavoring until light and fluffy. Beat in flour and cornstarch until mixed. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Roll dough in 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes until firm and light brown on bottoms. Cool and frost.
Orange Glaze
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 5 tbsp. butter, melted 1 tsp. orange flavoring
Combine sugar, butter, and flavoring. Blend in enough hot water to make desired consistency.
