Hi everyone

I have a really strange request!
My friends and I are having a gingerbread house-making fest for Christmas, but one of the girls is very allergic to ginger and I can't for the life of me think of what could be substituted for it.

Any suggestions (or alternative recipes that can be used)would be fantastic!!!
