CHOCOLATE SUGAR PLUM COOKIE DOUGH FOR HOUSE Makes: 1 holiday house
3 cups flour 1 1/2 tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 4 squares BAKER'S Unsweetened Baking Chocolate, melted
MAKE RECIPE TWICE
PLACE oven racks in center and bottom third of oven. Mix flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Beat butter in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Gradually beat in flour mixture until well blended. Add chocolate; mix well. Divide dough in half.
ROLL each half to 1/4-inch thickness between sheets of parchment or wax paper on cookie sheet. Remove top pieces of parchment.
BAKE at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until firm, changing position of cookie sheets halfway through baking time. Remove from oven.
While still warm, place house patterns on baked cookie dough; trace and cut around pattern with a small sharp knife. If desired, cut out window openings with knife. Use a cookie cutter to cut out small trees from edges of baked dough. Cool house patterns on cookie sheets. Special Extra: Use assortment of FARLEY'S Candies, pretzel twists, melted BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks and non-pareils to decorate assembled sugar plum house.
