SPICED EGGNOG COFFEE PUNCH

2 cups very strong coffee
1 1/2 sticks cinnamon, broken
6 hole cloves
6 hole allspice
2 cartons (32 ounces each) commercial eggnog
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 pint whipping cream, whipped
1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
ground nutmeg

Combine coffee, cinnamon, cloves and allspice in a saucepan. Simmer 15 minutes. Strain and chill.

Combine eggnog, vanilla and coffee mixture in a large bowl; chill. Fold in whipped cream.

Spoon ice cream in to a punch bowl. Pour eggnog mixture in to bowl and stir. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Make about 20 1/2 cup servings.
