Melt in your mouth Sugar Cookies BEST SUGAR COOKIES
2 cups sugar 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup oil 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla or almond extract - I use one of each 5 cups flour 2 tsp cream of tarter 1 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt
Cream sugar, butter, and oil; add eggs and beat. Stir in extract.
Combine dry ingredients together and then add dry to wet mix and chill in freezer for 1 hour or fridge for 2 to 4 hours.
Roll into bigger than a walnut but smaller than a golf ball sized balls dip cup into sugar and press cookie down.
Bake at 350 degreees F for 7 to 10 minutes, or until bottom is very lightly tan, not brown! You can frost or sprinkle with colored sugar!
