This is similar but better than the sauce on canned "American" spaghetti or spaghetti-o's, according to my taste testers:
Cook 4 servings of pasta of your choice till almost tender, drain and add to a buttered casserole or crock pot (I think the butter is important here; doesn't take much to grease the pot, but adds distinctive flavor). Stir in:
1 can "recipe ready" diced tomatoes and their juice (can size about 15 ounces) 1 6-oz can tomato juice or tomato-vegetable cocktail 3/4 pound American process cheese, grated (please, NOT velveeta!)
Heat, covered, in 300-325 oven for about 1 hour or in crockpot on high.
