BEANS WITH CHEESE OVER RICE

1/2 cup chopped onion (1 medium)
1 large clove garlic, minced (optional)
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 cans (16 ounces each) vegetarian beans in tomato sauce
1 cup chopped celery
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 cup diced sharp Cheddar cheese
4 cups hot cooked rice (for serving)

In large skillet sauté onion and garlic in butter until tender.

Stir in beans, celery and seasonings. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.

Sprinkle with cheese; cover and simmer 5 minutes longer or until cheese melts.

Serve over rice.

Makes 4 servings
