Terri Ouellette gives you easy-to-follow instructions for handmade projects.

Candy Topiary

Air Date: Nov. 9, 1999
Completion Time: Approximately 45 minutes

Materials Needed:

1 9-inch-by-4-inch Styrofoam cone
1 5-inch terra cotta pot
Assorted candies to cover entire cone
Small rocks
Hot glue or cool glue if children are helping
Optional: paint for terra cotta pot

Step 1:

If you choose, paint or decorate the terra cotta pot. Then place enough rocks in
the bottom of the pot to give it a solid base so it doesn't tip with the cone and
candy on the top.

Step 2:

Glue the base of the Stryofoam cone and place it into the pot. Using the hot or cool glue,
secure the assorted unwrapped candies onto the cone, covering it completely. Terri Ouellette is a feature reporter and anchor for KTVK 3TV's "Good Morning Arizona,"
