Hi Kathryn,

You can find liquid pasteurized egg whites in a carton in many grocery stores near the eggs or egg beaters. Powdered egg whites (or meringue powder) are usually found in the baking aisle or if you have a craft store or baking supply store that carries Wilton products they should carry it.

GINGERBREAD HOUSE GLUE

1 egg white*
1 2/3 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Beat egg white then add cream of tartar and sugar. Beat until smooth and stiff peaks form when beaters or spoon is lifted from mixture.

Editor's note:
*If gingerbread will be eaten use pasteurized egg white.

I hope that's a help!

Betsy
