Hi Nancy!...the website, that I gave for the recipe search also is the one where you can put your family surname (last name) of your relatives, if you know them...also, within that website page, is a listing of names listed for specific months and you might just find someone else seeking information. I was not raised with my mother or her side of the family 100% Bohemian; I knew that some of her relatives were from Cleveland, I looked up every BILEK in the phone book and wrote a form letter to each and got one response; which led to another. I found my aunt and uncle within the last four years, I did not even know I had any uncle, I was blessed to find him before he died last year. If you know any of the last names, try a websearch for people on the internet, listing the last name and have the search go through every U.S. city. Not knowing your roots can be painful. As I was raised in a Hungarian neighborhood I have access to those type recipes and know little of the Czech cooking or traditions (kind of feel cheated); In Cleveland, they publish an Ethnic directory for all of the churchs, organizations and fraternaties within a specific ethnic group. There is a large, large group of Czech's in Wilbur, Nebraska and if you access it; ask for information, or I can e-mail you an address or local organizations in this area. You can e-mail me direct: lanulos And yes, if you would share with me and others your dear grandmother's recipes I would be thrilled to have them! Best of luck to you in your search...tell me about yourself when you e-mail me.
