A good spicy, healthy dish for the adventurous. 1 block tofu 1/2 cup ground pork 1 tbls vegetable oil grated garlic grated ginger 1/4 cup soup stock {chicken or chinese} 1tbls soy sauce hot bean paste, chinese salt 1 tbls Cornstarch for thickening {always dissolve in cold water first, just enough water to dissolve it. chopped green onion
Heat oil in fry pan, add garlic then ginger, sautee just enough to release the aroma. Be careful not to burn. Add pork and cook until color changes. Add soup stock, bean paste, soy sauce, salt and tofu. Cover and gently bring to a boil. Add dissolved cornstarch and gently stir, cooking for about 1 min. Add green onion. Serve with rice. Once you get the hang of it, it's really fast and easy.
