roti canai is the recipe you want to look up. there are plenty of them on the net...

here is one. the recipe is easy but the trick to roll it out and pan fry it to a crispy bread is the tough part... i don't do it at home as it's very cheap to get them here in m'sia. it's an indian bread by origin so you may want to look it up in other indian sites as well but it should be named as "chapati"(i think?) (not exactly the same as the malaysian indian version has been adapted to the local style and taste...)

==================================================
Roti Canai
Ingredients:
1 egg

1 cup warm water
} mixed together
1 tsp salt

3 tbsps ghee or butter
600 gms flour
Sugar to taste

Method:
Mix together flour, water, sugar and egg. Knead until a soft dough is formed.
Form into small balls and keep overnight.
When you are ready to make the roti canai, spread the ghee on the balls and flatten.
Heat an iron griddle and fry the rotis individually until cooked.
Serve hot with a curry or dhall.
