Hello.

Here are two simple ways to make platains:
#1
1. Butter or margarine to coat the pan evenly.
(I prefer butter to have that little salted with sweet taste)
2. On low to medium fire, melt butter/marg.
3. Slice the plantains length ways.
4. cover and let cook for 2-3 mins, or until light golden brown.
5. Turn each slice and cover and cook again until it is also golden.
6. Turn off gas, of course, place each slice on a plate, or bowl,
7. Garnish with cinnamin and sugar as desired.
8. Eat and enjoy!#2
egg, beaten (quantity depends on how many you are making), flour, unflavored breadcrumbs, oil for frying ( deep enough to cover each piece "deepfry"- without having to turn. Entire piece must cook at once for best frying.
Plantains...fried
1. Cut plantains into size desired.
2. Gently cover each with flour (to coat entirely)
3. Dip each quickly into beaten egg
4. Cover eat with unflavored breadcrumbs.
5. When oil is hot enough for frying fry only a few pieces at a time. When golden remove and set aside on a paper towel or something similar to remove excess oil, if needed.
These are best served warm, not too hot.

Hope this helps!

Norma
