We normally either slice the tomatoes (fresh ones) and either grill (I think you call this broil in USA) for fry in a pan. We also use canned tomatoes so we bung them and some juice in a saucepan and heat up. We also either grill the bacon and sausages or fry them.

There are a lt of variations on the traditional English brekkie:

Usually includes bacon and sausage (unless veggie of course) but also either fried or scrambled eggs, sliced fried black pudding (a black blood sausage) bubble and squeak (leftover cooked mashed potatoes and cabbage mixed together and fried) fried white bread, baked beans, and increasingly, hash browns.

Very popular in UK with builders is a hot bacon sarnie (not a BLT).
