Here are some more “ Salgadinhos” from Brazil. If you have already had your dinner try them out for yourself.
Bolinhos de Queijo (cheese balls)
200 grams grated parmesan cheese 200 grams grated cheddar cheese 2 Tablespoons corn starch 3 egg whites, beaten until stiff but not dry
Mix the cheese with the cornstarch then fold in the egg whites.
Roll into small balls (larger than a marble but smaller than a jack ball). If they are too dry add another beaten egg white.
Deep fry in hot oil drain and serve hot.
This recipe does not make many. You can double or triple it.
Don’t know if you can get them but almost every party and restaurant has hard boiled quail eggs as an appetizer. Boil, peal and chill the eggs. Serve with a dip made of mayonnaise and ketchup or tomato paste.
No name as I know for these but they are popular now because seems like everyone is dieting. Make little kebobs on toothpicks using, cherry tomatoes, (cut in half), pieces of low fat buffalo mozzarella cheese, and fresh mint leaves.
