AUNT IRMY'S GERMAN PANCAKES

Fabulous for breakfast, brunch.

1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter
FOR THE BATTER:
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup all purpose flour (do not use self-rising)
2 eggs
pinch of salt
TO SERVE:
syrup or fruit and powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 450. Melt the butter in medium to large skillet.

Mix together batter ingredients. Beat until lumpless.

Pour batter into skillet when butter is melted and bubbly.

Bake 10-12 minutes or until top is golden brown. Try not to peek, an oven with glass looking-door is best. Pancake will rise and puff.

Great served with syrup, or fruit with a dusting of powdered sugar.
