Thank you....my family is from Sicily and we call it "Chita cu l'ova" spelled incorrectly I know, but the translation is birds nest because we make the dough and in the form of a nest and the hard boiled egg sits in the middle. These were a wonderful treat, I have not been able to find the "cookie" recipe until now. I will try it. I have been making a sweet bread dough and using that for many years.
