My grandparents were from Transylvania. My grandmother would roll out a hunklich like it was nothing. She always brought one to every family and church function. My favorite was the apricot. She would use dried apricots that she soaked in water to soften them. She would lay them out on the dough and then cover them with the sour creme, egg and sugar mixture. Try it, it is sure to become one of your favorites. I have made this several times over the years, but nothing was as good as Grandma's.
