Either in the late 70's or early 80's, one of the McCall's Cooking School Magazine had a recipe that I have lost. This recipe did not contains eggs so my stepson, who is allergic to them was able to join in at dessert time.
I do not recall the name of the recipe nor the quantities but do recall most of the ingredients as follows:
Milk Rice Crushed Pineapple (can) Gelatine 35% Cream Vanilla extract and I believe Coconut
