KellyWA (08:39:20) : Fleigh,.wa (08:37:49) : Weiner Schnitzel
1/2 cup all purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1/4 teaspoon pepper 4 boneless cutlets (veal or pork-I prefer the pork) 1 egg 2 tablespoons water 1 cup dry bread crumbs 1/4 cup oil 1 lemon, cut into wedges, if desired
Mix flour, salt, paprika, and pepper. Coat cutlet with flour mixture. Pound to 1/4 inch thickness. Beat egg and water until blended. Dip cutlet into egg mixture, then coat with bread crumbs. Heat oil in skillet over med-high heat. Cook cutlets about 10 minutes, turning once. Serve with lemon wedges. For Jager (pronounced Yager) Schnitzel, buy a packet of brown mushroom gravy and serve over it. I usually fry up some hashbrowns seasoned with a little curry powder. Will microwave fine. Just be sure to blot the meat with papertowels after cooking so they don't get soggy from the oil. Also, check the market for red cabbage that's sold in a jar. It's a german thing too.

24 maraschino cherries 2 teaspoons fondant 1 package semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Drain cherries thoroughly. Cover cherries completely by shaping about 2 teaspoons uncooked fondant around each cherry. Use fondant for 24 cherries. Drop fondant-covered cherries into melted chocolate and cover with chocolate. Remove from chocolate with two forks. Place on waxed paper to cool. Chill. Comments:This is from a girl named Beth |
