MAMA'S "NEWFANGLED" PEACH COBBLER
PEACHES: 1 cup sugar 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 4 cups sliced and peeled fresh peaches
Batter:
1 stick of butter 1 cup milk 1 cup self-rising flour
Grease an 11" X 7" pan. Melt the butter and pour half into the pan. In a bowl, combine sugar, flour, and nutmeg. Add peaches to this mixture; stir to coat. For the batter, stir milk, flour, and sugar together. Add 1/2 stick of the butter. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Spoon the peaches over the batter. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until filling is bubbly and the batter topping is golden.
Serve with ice cream. DELICIOUS!!!!!!
