COOKIE CHEESECAKE SQUARES

1 20-oz. pkg. slice and bake sugar cookies

3/4 cup strawberry or raspberry preserves
1 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 (8-oz.) container sour cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
Heat oven to 375. Slice dough into 1/4" slices. Prss slices in bottom of ungreased 13"X9" pan to form crust. Bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes or until light golden brown. Gently spread this crust with preserves. In large bowl, combine cream cheese and sugar; beat at medium speed until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour mixture over preserves, spreading to edges. Bake at 375 degrees for an additional 28-33 minutes or until knife inserted in cheese layer comes out clean. Cool. Store in refrigerator.
Yield: 12 servings.
