SUMMER SQUASH AND HOT SAUSAGE DISH
1 lb. hot sausage links 2 medium green peppers 2 medium onions 1 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 3 medium summer squash 6 oz. tomato sauce 1/2 cup water salt pepper
Cut sausage links into bite-size. Fry until brown; drain. Leave about 2 tablespoons of juice. Cut peppers, onions and squash into chunks. Add to sausage. Add 1/2 cup water, tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper, Simmer until done. Stir occasionally. Serve with pita bread.
Serves 4 to 6.
