Our Favorite Cornbread
2 cups cornmeal 1 teaspoons salt 3 teaspoons baking powder 2 tablespoons sugar 2 eggs, beaten 1 1/2 cups milk 4-5 tablespoons oil
Heat oil in heavy skillet (a cast iron is best).
Stir dry ingredients together. Stir in eggs and milk. Stir in hot oil. Quickly pour batter into hot pan. Bake at 450 degrees F about 20 minutes.
