Pizza Fondue Recipe By : Houston Chronicle-8/26/98 Serving Size : 6
1/2 pound ground beef or bulk sausage 1/2 cup chopped onions 1 (14oz) jar prepared pizza sauce 1 (8oz) can tomato sauce 1 teaspoon each, dried: basil, oregano, fennel, and garlic powder 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Toasted French Bread
Crumble beef into a plastic colander set in a 1-1/2 qt round casserole. Sprinkle onion on top. Microwave on high 4 to 4-1/2 min., stirring midway through cooking. Discard grease.
Transfer to a clean casserole. Add pizza sauce, tomato sauce and seasonings. Blend in cheese. Microwave on med-high (70%) 2-3 min or until cheese is melted.
Serve with toasted French bread cubes.
Makes about 1-1/2 qts. |
