Makes: about 2 1/2 dozen
2/3 cup sugar 1 cup Butter, softened 1/2 tsp. almond extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup raspberry jam
Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar 1 1/2 tsp almond extract 2 to 3 tsp water
Cookies: In large mixer, cream sugar, butter and almond extract. Beat at medium speed until creamy. Reduce speed to low, add flour, Beat until well mixed. Cover & chill at least one hour.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 in. apart on cookie sheet. With thumb, make indentation in center of each cookie. Fill each indentation with about 1/4 tsp of raspberry jam.
Bake for 14-18 min until edges are very lightly browned. Let cook and remove from cookie sheet.
Glaze: Mix all ingredients until smooth...drizzle over cookies.
