Recipe(tried): Crock Pot London Broil Posted By: kim scasny Date: March 21st 1998 Board: recipelink.com What's For Dinner?
Here's two ways that I've used the crock pot for cooking London Broil.
#1. Put London Broil in crock pot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours (or until done). Shred meat by hand and discard fatty pieces. Add your favorite bottled BBQ sauce and hit for 2 hours and then serve on Hamburger Rolls (or better yet Kaiser Rolls). This makes a great tasting BBQ sandwich.
If BBQ is not what you want or if you have a lot of shredded meat, put aside some and then add cumin, onions, green chilies, cilantro and use for burritos.
Both of these freeze well for a dinner later.
#2. Put London Broil in crock pot. Dice a small onion, and two stalks of celery and add to pot. Pour one can of beer over top. Pour one jar of chili sauce over top. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until tender. Serve with Mashed taters. I also use Flank Steak or Brisket with this recipe.

Crock Pot Banana Bread From: The Best of Electric Crockery Cooking
1 3/4 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup shortening 2/3 cup sugar 2 eggs, well beaten 1/2 cups ripe banana, well mashed 1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. With the electric beater on low, fluff the shortening in a small bowl, until soft and creamy. Add the sugar gradually. Beat in the eggs in a slow stream. With a fork, beat in 1/3 of the flour mixture, 1/2 the bananas another 1/3 of the flour mixture, the rest of the bananas then the last of the flour mixture. Fold in the walnuts. Turn into a greased and floured baking unit or a 2 1/2 quart mold and cover. Place on a rack in the slow cooker. Cover the cooker, but prop the lid open with a toothpick or a twist of foil to let the excess steam escape. Cook on high for 4 to 6 hours. Cool on a rack for 10 minutes. Serve Warm.

Crock pot Roast Sticky Chicken recipelink.com Chat Room Posted 6-9-1999 Theresa/Va (10:01:28 AM) :
4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. paprika 1 tsp. cayenne pepper 1 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. thyme 1 tsp. white pepper 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 large roasting chicken, make sure it will fit in your size crock pot. 1 cup chopped onion
In small bowl, thoroughly combine all spices. Clean chicken well and remove giblets. Pat dry with paper towels. Rub the spice mixture into the chicken, both inside and out, making sure it is evenly distributed and down deep into the skin. Place in a resealable plastic bag, seal and refrigerate overnight. When ready to cook chicken put it in the crockpot and do not add any liquid. As the cooking process goes on the chicken will produce it's own juices. Cook on low 8-10 hours. The chicken will be falling off the bones. I like to serve white rice with this chicken.
