recipelink.com (09:31:30) : Lipton Onion Butter
The Lipton people printed this "terrific-idea" recipe on their Onion Soup mix packages years ago.

1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup mix
1 8-oz container whipped butter, or
1/2 pound butter or margarine -- softened

Thoroughly blend Lipton Onion Soup mix with butter. Store covered in refrigerator. Makes about 1 1/4 cups.

Onion-Buttered Bread: Spread Onion butter between slices of French or Italian bread; wrap in foil and beat in 375F oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

Onion-Buttered Baked Potatoes: Top a hot, split baked potato with 1 to 2 Tbsp Onion Butter

Onion-Buttered Whipped Potatoes: Add 1/4 cup Onion Butter and 1/4 cup milk to 4 medium-cooked potatoes; beat until light and fluffy.

For Instant Potatoes: Prepare instant mashed potatoes according to a package directions, using twice as much Onion Butter for butter.

Onion-Buttered Noodles: Toss 1/2 lb cooked and drained noodles with 1/4 cup Onion Butter.

Onion-Buttered Vegetables: Add 2 Tbsp Onion Butter to a cooked and drained 10-oz package frozen vegetable.

Onion-Buttered Corn-on-the-Cob: Spread Onion Butter on hot cooked ears of corn; or spread on uncooked corn, then wrap in foil and toast on outdoor grill or in 400F oven about 30 minutes.

Onion-Buttered Sandwiches: Use softened Onion Butter to spread on bread slices when making sandwiches. Especially good with roast beef, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.

Onion-Buttered Popcorn: Toss 2 1/2 quarts popped popcorn with 1/2 cup melted Onion Butter.
