Eagle Brand English Toffee
1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk 2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar 1/2 cup light corn syrup 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1/8 tsp. salt
In a heavy saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat; stir constantly until mixture begins to boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook; stir constantly to 236 degrees on candy thermometer or until a small amount dropped in cold water forms a soft ball. Remove from heat; stir in butter and salt. Pour into lightly buttered 8-inch square pan. Cool. Cut into square.
