PEACH TORTE

Crust:
2c. flour
1/2c. brown sugar
1/2c. butter
pecans, chopped or halved Mix this and brown in oven 350.( add pecans in crust mixture.)
When crust cools crumble it.

Filling:
1c. milk
1 box dream whip(small box)
blend until stiff
8oz. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
Mix then add it to the dream whip mixture
Put this on top of crust

Glaze:
1 c. sugar
Tbsp. corn starch
mix then add 1 c. boiling water. Heat on the stove until thick. Then add 4Tbsp. peach jello and add some peach food coloring if
. you can find it in peach.
Let cool then pour over the dream whip mixture.

Then add 1 can drained peaches on top of this or add to the jello mixture.
Chill and serve.

1 small pk. oreo cookies
3 Tbsp. melted butter
1/2 Gallon vanilla ice cream
2 cups powdered sugar
12 oz. can evaporated milk
2/3 cup choc. chips
1/2 cup butter

Crush cookies & mix with 3 Tbsp melted butter, Press lightly into 9x13 in. pan
Place in freezer. Soften ice cream, Place in bowl & stir until very soft. Pour over crumb layer and return to freezer. Mix powdered sugar,chips,, milk,& butter in sauce-pan, Boil 6 minutes, stirring constantly, Add 1 t. vanilla. Put in refrigerator and cool completely.Then Pour over ice cream. Return- to freezer.

Chocolate Sweet Potato Cake

2/3 cup butter-soften
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 cups all purpose flour
1 T cocoa-baking
1 t baking powder
1 t ea. Cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice & cloves
1/2 cup milk
2 med. sweet potatoes, peeled, cooked, mashed & cooled
1 t vanilla
2 cups chopped pecans
1/2 cup raisins
Confectioners sugar, -optional

I a mixing bowl, cream butter & sugar, add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition, Combine the dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir in sweet potatoes & vanilla, mix well, add nuts & raisins, Transfer to a greased & floured 10 in. fluted tube pan. Bake 350 for 70 - 80 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 min.before removing from pan Then cool completely. Dust with powered sugar if desired--Yield 12-16 servings

Hershey's Easy Pizza Brownie

3/4c. (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, melted
1-1/2 c. sugar
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs
1/2 c. HERSHEY'S Cocoa
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions
------------
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 12" pizza pan or 13"x 9" baking pan. If using a disposable pizza pan, place on cookie sheet to bake.

Use only a spoon to beat melted butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs in large bowl. Stir in dry ingredients until well blended. Spread into pan.

Bake 20 to 22 min. or until top springs back when touched lightly. Serve plain or sprinkle hot brownie with HERSHEY'S chocolate or white chips, REESE'S Peanut Butter Chips, MOUNDS Coconut, SKOR or HEATH Toffee Bits.

Cherry dessert

3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup solid vegetable shorting
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 jar of commercial cherry pie filling

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream all ingredients together. Butter a 9x13 inch baking pan. Put one half of the oatmeal mixture in the pan. Pour the cherry pie filling over it. Put the rest of the oatmeal mixture on top. Bake for 1/2 hour. Serve warm or cool. Top with vanilla ice cream.

Old-fashioned Peach Cobbler
8 servings:

1/2 c Light-brown sugar (packed)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon, ground
1 tsp Grated lemon rind
1 tb Lemon juice
4 c Sliced peeled peaches
3/4 c All-purpose flour
1 tb Baking powder
1/4 c Butter (1/2 stick)
2 Egg whites, beaten
1/2 c Milk
1/2 tsp Vanilla
grease 8 x 8x 2-inch baking dish.

Preheat oven to 375 deg.F. Lightly Combine brown sugar, cinnamon,lemon rind and juice in a large bowl. Add peaches; toss to mix. Transfer to prepared baking dish.

Combine flours and baking powder on a piece of waxed paper. Beat together butter and sugar in a medium-sized bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in egg white. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk
and vanilla, stirring just to combine. Drop batter by spoonfuls over peach mixture; Spread gently.

Bake in preheated 375 degF. oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until peaches are tender and crust is golden brown. Serve warm.

Apple Brown Betty with Rum Whipped Cream
6 servings:

1 c All-purpose flour
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp Ground nutmeg
3/4 c Sugar
8 tb (1 stick) unsalted butter, chilled, cut into 1/2" pieces
4 Slices firm-textured bread;
1 c Raisins
3 Granny Smith apples; peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch pieces (about 1-1/2 pounds)

RUM WHIPPED CREAM:
1 c Heavy cream
2 tb Sugar
2 tb Dark rum

To make the apple brown betty: Preheat the oven to 350
degrees. Butter a 9-inch-square baking dish. Sift the fl our, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar into
a bowl. Cut the butter into small pieces; cut it into the flour mixture, using a pastry blender, until the
mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Cut the bread into 1-inch-square pieces.

Soak the raisins in boiling water to cover for about 5 minutes, until plump, the drain them.

Combine the bread, raisins, and sliced apples in a bowl. Sprinkle the bottom of
the prepared baking dish with 3/4 cup of the flour mixture, add the apple
mixture, and top with the remaining flour mixture.

Bake, uncovered, in the preheated oven until the top of the brown betty is crisp and golden and the apples are tender, 35 to 45 minutes.

To make the rum whipped cream: In a chilled medium bowl, beat the cream and sugar until stiff.

Beat in the rum. Serve the betty warm, with the rum whipped cream. Serves 6

Baked Apples

Core one apple pr. person, but leave peel on.
Put the apples in an ovenproof dish. Mix sugar, coarsely chopped nuts, a dash of cinnamon and a little melted butter.
Fill the apples, and drizzle the surplus of the filling around the apples.
Add a little water, and bake in warm oven until apples are tender - time will differ with what kind of apples you have.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.
