RASPBERRY CREAM CHEESE COFFEE CAKE

2 1/2 c flour
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c margarine
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c sour cream
1 tsp almond extract
1 egg
1 (8oz) pkg softened cream cheese
1/4 c sugar
1/2 c raspberry preserves
1/2 c sliced almonds

Heat oven to 350.
Grease and flour bottom & sides of a 9 or 10" pan.
In large bowl combine flour and 3/4 cup sugar. Cut in margarine, until resembles a crumb mixture.
Reserve 1 cup of crumb mixture.
To remaining crumb mixture add baking powder, soda, salt sour cream, and almond flavoring. Add the 1 egg, blend well.
Spread batter over bottom and 2" up sides of pan.
In small bowl combine cream cheese,1/4 cup sugar, pour over batter in the pan.
Carefully spoon preserves evenly over cream cheese mixture.
Combine reserved crumb mixture with sliced almonds. Sprinkle over top.
Bake for 45-55 min.
Cool 15 min. Remove sides from the pan.
