for the ginger mustard sauce: 3 tbsp pureed fresh ginger 2 cloves garlic 1/4 cup sugar 3 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp white vinegar 2 tbsp ketchup 2 tbsp water 1 tsp dry mustard 1/2 tsp dark sesame oil
for the beans: olive oil 1 lb green beans 3/4 cup julienne-cut onions
Prepare ginger mustard sauce: Blend all ingredients well. Heat a saute pan on the stove until it is very hot.
Add a small amount of olive oil and toss in fresh green beans and onions. Stir fry quickly. When wrinkles start to appear on the surface of beans, add the ginger-mustard sauce. Toss to coat with sauce and serve immediately. |
